About Us
LiVE stands for Listening to the Voice of Experience and is a participation project for people with lived experience of mental health issues – their own or those of someone they care for.
We are part of Mind in Brighton and Hove.
- The LiVE project acts as gateway for communication between people who use or have an interest in mental health services, and the people who develop and run those services.
- LiVE is a group of more than fifty project members with lived experience of mental health issues, both service users and carers, who use their experience to develop and improve mental health services in Brighton and Hove. There are lots of different opportunities to get involved.
- Being part of LiVE supports project members with their recovery and wellbeing. As well as opportunities for consultation, the project offers access to lots of wellbeing and personal development activities.
“In the three years I have been part of this service I have gained so much confidence, meeting other service users and getting paid opportunities to change services. It has given me real purpose”
